Full Description
This brush is well-crafted from a single piece of zitan. The ‘hourglass‘ shape of the handle is fluid and full with a beading at the top and a wider beading at the base. The body carries an inscription that reads:
This is from Zhou Eryu's old collection. It was given to me, Hui Quan, by my friend Mr Zhang on a spring day during the xinyou year [1801,1861, 1921,etc]. I requested of Mr Fu to inscribe and repair this hundredyear-old relic. Recorded by Hui Quan.
