Full Description
This fine picnic box is one of the largest hardwood examples we have ever seen. The frame, handle and beautifully shaped end-spandrels are zitan whilst the actual three-tiered box is made of well-figured huamu (burr wood) supported In the corners with baitong (yellow brass) metal work. The use of these two woods, with their different textures and graining, makes for a very striking combination.
